I had the pleasure of recently dining at Nara . Couldn't shake off the craving for a papaya salad and good Pad Thai . Luckily, these were the best out of the 4 dishes ordered! Although Nara shares parking with Smart & Final and other businesses, it was easy to find a spot .

This place was a pleasant surprise. The soft shell crab curry was a really delicious surprise. If you are from the east coast you will know what I mean. The iced coffee was good and good and good and sweet- just what I need to hit my blood steam and sooth my nervous system like a crack head breathing in Deep. Their pad sa ew(?) was solid- not superlative but good. I'm holding off on pad Thai bcs that's something no one in LA can pull off.

I usually drive across town to Thai spot in Gardena, but wanted to find somewhere local for a quick take out meal. Some friends of ours had gotten Nara Thai before so I thought I'd give it a shot. Since they didn't have Pad Kee Mow, I went with their chicken noodle and asked them to make it spicy. It was delicious and had just enough spice to give it the kick we were looking for... ***UPDATE: the owner was so kind I received a phone call to thank you for my review and to let me know they DO have pad kee mow, it's called the Drunken Noodle. Woo hoo! I'll be ordering that next time!*** The chicken coconut soup was amazing. I ordered it medium spicy and it was exactly what I had hoped for. All the flavors blended well and didn't overpower each other. Sometimes a soup can be too sour if there's too much acid, but this one was perfect! I've been craving this soup for a while now, and I'm so glad I know I can find it just up the street from my house. My husband and loved it too. When I got to the restaurant there were several different families eating, and it was nice to see a local small business doing well. I think there was a decent amount of seating. It's also located in a shopping center with a lot of parking available. I was helped quickly at the register, and the owner (or manager) double checked that the chef made my chicken noodle spicy. He said it was so busy he wanted to make sure that detail wasn't overlooked. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. We will definitely be back for me. Sorry no pic of the soup, I forgot to take one.

The pineapple fried rice and beef Pad See Ew was good. Chicken Sate was good but I think they should do Beef Sate too. This will be my new local Thai spot.

I placed an order for pick-up. When I got there, it wasn't ready yet, but I didn't have to wait long. It was busy and it was a Friday, so totally understandable. There were quite a few people dining inside and other people who were waiting for their pick-up order, as well. It seems like a popular restaurant. The food was good and I really enjoyed their Thai iced tea. I really wanted to order their sticky rice and mango, but I had such a bad experience with sticky rice w/ mango recently at a different Thai restaurant, and I'm still scarred. I wasn't ready yet, but perhaps I'll make another visit and try it. : ) When I called to place the order, the lady who was taking my order said that they were located in the Smart & Final shopping center and that definitely made it easier to find. Lol.

Very nice Thai restaurant in Rancho Palos Verdes! Staff are very, very friendly and nice. I just wish they were open a little later (they close by 8:30 PM even on a Saturday night). The food was very fresh and tasty. It was a decent value and the ambience is quite nice as well. They have some cool slushies, boba tea and other Thai tea drinks as well. Definitely try the cream cheese wontons!

They have a great lunch special. I alternate between the pad thai and pad see ew but I always lean more towards the Pad See Ew but you can't really go wrong with whatever you go with. Great Thai food as far as I'm concerned. I'm knocking points because of the drink. Usually I'll just have water but I decided to treat myself and ordered a strawberry milk tea with boba. It looked and tasted like iced Pepto Bismol. I wish I was joking. I truly do. I even had my coworker taste just incase it was just me. Aside from the Pepto with boba, the Service was pretty average. Nothing offensive but nothing extraordinary. We were greeted and served fairly quickly. We were there not long before they closed for their break so the restaurant was fairly empty but everything was clean and tidy. It's likely we were the last group they served before closing to prep for dinner. All and all the food was great but I'll stick with a water next time.

This place has really delicious food and I am so glad that it's local to us! We've been here a few times and have enjoyed the food each time. Parking is easy and there's plenty of it. This restaurant is in the Smart & Final shopping center. They offer dine in, take out, delivery, and catering. The staff is always nice and inviting. We've tried various dishes. The Drunken Noodles are my favorite, but yesterday I wanted to try something new on the menu. We ordered the Thai iced tea and the Taro milk tea with boba. I loved my Thai iced tea...one of my favorites, next to the Thai lemon iced tea. The Taro milk tea tasted like kids cereal, lol. We ended up ordering the Crab Fried Rice and added shrimp to it. It's cooked with onions and egg. It was very good and there was a lot of crab in it, which was surprising. We also ordered the Spicy Basil Shrimp, which is stir-fried with onions, chili, bell peppers, bamboo sprouts, and basil leaves. The flavor was excellent! That's definitely a dish I plan to get again. I loved that it came with the broth, because it tasted great with the Crab Fried Rice. We also ordered the Tom Yum Noodle Soup, as we had a major craving for something soupy. It was equally as delicious as everything else. They brought extra limes upon request, but also bring out soy sauce, chili, and other extras that you may need. The food comes out quickly and the presentation is always so pretty! Definitely a hidden little gem!
